How We Serve

Ministries at Glenwood Moravian

We believe that every person has gifts that can be shared to bless the world around us. We hope that Glenwood is a place where people can let their gifts shine. Take a look at our current ministries to see how who you are can help us bring faith, hope, and love as a congregation.

Mission and Outreach

We partner with and offer support to many local organizations that do tremendous work. Recent examples include: Just Dane, REAP, The Luke House, Hope and A Future, Midvale Lutheran's Asylum Ministry, and Second Harvest. We also support Moravian ministries like the Board of World Mission, Mt. Morris Camp and Conference Center, Tricklebee Cafe, and You Belong.

Worship and Music Ministries

Many members of our congregation share their gifts with us each Sunday in worship. Some read scripture, others run the AV table for our YouTube stream, and folks take time to hand out bulletins/greet people. Musicians lend their voices or play their instruments throughout the year, with a highlight being our Advent Concert that features our trombone and vocal choirs.

Spiritual Formation

We value supporting one another on our spiritual journeys. Along with our weekly bible study, each month our Prayer Vigil group holds our community in prayer and a Men's Breakfast group gathers for food, fellowship, and spiritual discernment.

Life in Community

We're blessed by many hands and hearts that come together for our annual fundraisers - the rummage sale, German dinner, and chicken pie sale. We love gathering around the table, whether for snacks after worship, the monthly Ladies' Night Out, or for our "soup and study" series during Lent. There are also ample opportunities to connect with the user groups that rent out our building - theater productions, children's music and nature hikes, rummage sales, and playgroups. We love bringing people together, and we are overjoyed that so many people have found a sense of belonging here.
